    I was born on this land.

    I took my first steps on this porch, learned to ride in that paddock, and grew up watching my daddy work every inch of this ranch with his hands. This place isn't just where I live — it's who I am.

    But ranching isn't what it used to be. The cost of everything keeps climbing and the margins keep shrinking. For the first time in my life I've had to look at this land — the land my family has worked for generations — and wonder if we're going to have to let it go.

    I wasn't willing to accept that without a fight.

    So I started making these necklaces.

    I'd always worked with my hands and the cattle tag felt right — it's what we use to mark what's ours, to say this one belongs to us. I started crafting personalised initial pieces and somewhere between the first one and the hundredth one, something unexpected happened. People loved them. Women all over the country started wearing their initials, gifting them to their daughters, their mothers, their best friends.
